Designer and maker Colleen Knox sees designing and wearing jewellery not just as adornment that is just added to the body to make you look better. But to look and feel fluid in a way almost looking like it has delicately fallen onto your skin. All of Colleen’s jewellery is hand made and so individual, just like nature in the fact that nature very it rarely repeats itself, which is where she takes her inspiration from. 

Her silversmithing also incorporates aspects of nature but in a very different way, using clean lines for the form. She likes people to feel that her items may be precious but that they can still also be used and held. She does this by incorporating deeply chased lines, which almost entwine round the vessel, and guide your hand to use these channels to comfortably hold the piece
