LUCY POLSON

Lucy is an emerging designer whose ideas and jewellery reflect her interest in the form and texture of metals and her passion for stones.

She has been inspired by the bold and abstract designs found in contemporary art and the natural world. A further encouragement was her grandmother who practised silversmithing as a hobby.

Lucy has inherited many of her grandmother’s tools and uses them alongside modern tools at her work bench to produce jewellery that is not only eye catching but thought provoking.

Lucy employs her special interest in texturing metals to produce unique and distinctive pieces of jewellery. A range of gemstones are used, from multi-coloured tourmalines and opals to fossilised coral; each adding a splash of colour and the occasional story to a piece.
